Hunting at Old Glendevey Ranch

2005 HUNTING SEASON

We had a great 2004 Season, running over 80% from September to November.

ur licensed outfitting component of Old Glendevey Ranch is G.W. Peterson Outfitting. We have 31 years experience hunting the region, an outstanding guide/packer/wrangler staff, excellent equipment and fine mountain horses. We are located in Northern Colorado in the Laramie River Valley which is bordered by the Roosevelt National Forest and by the Rawah Wilderness.

Regular Rifle Elk. Our regular elk season hunting is done from our tent base camp or spike camps in the Rawah Wilderness Area, or from our lodge at Old Glendevey Ranch where we hunt over 18,000 acres of private leased land. We have an excellent elk herd and we are taking some fine bulls.

Rifle Antelope. Antelope hunting is on our leased private land in units 7 and 8. You must draw for a rifle permit. However, archery antelope tags are available over the counter.

Moose. Moose bull tags are available on a very limited draw basis to Colorado residents only.

Archery/Black Powder Hunts. We specialize in a quality guided archery or black powder hunting experience. Archery hunts are on a one hunter per guide basis. Our guides are all experienced archers themselves and understand completely the limitations associated with archery hunting. Colorado operates on a draw basis for black powder permits. Archery licenses are available over the counter.

Our staff are all experienced and our main concern is your safety and satisfaction. You can still purchase a bull elk license in Colorado over the counter for $483.25 (non resident) and $33.25 (resident). Please note on our Hunting Rate page that the first bull elk hunt is on a draw basis, as are cow licenses.
